07 more study programs of Ton Duc Thang University participated in the FIBAA standard accreditation

On the morning of May 31, 2023, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) together with the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) officially opened the evaluation of undergraduate and postgraduate programs for 7 study programs, including: Sociology (master), Finance - Banking (master), Law (bachelor), Marketing (bachelor), International Business (bachelor), Business Administration - major in Hospitality Management (bachelor) and Business Administration - major in Human Resource Management (bachelor).

The Accreditation Panel consists of 15 members including professors, scientists, experts, businesses and students from prestigious universities in Europe and Vietnam led by Ms. Friderike Uphoff - FIBAA Project Manager.

The event took place from May 31 to June 1, 2023, with accreditation activities according to FIBAA's standards such as the training program introduction session of training programs, interview sessions with program management, lecturers, students, alumni and round tour through facilities of the University and Faculties. In addition, the Expert Delegation also had internal deliberation sessions and studied evidence, materials given by training programs, especially teaching and learning materials, tests, assessments, and graduation thesis/dissertation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Vice President of TDTU highly appreciated the set of accreditation standards of FIBAA as a European quality assurance agency for higher education programs and affirmed that FIBAA is a reputable accrediting organization. He also hoped that after 4 training programs which had been recognized and granted the quality seal before, FIBAA would continue to help the University improve and upgrade the quality of education, taking another important step in the process of internationalization and development of TDTU towards a world-class research university.

On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Friderike Uphoff - FIBAA Project Manager expressed her delight at being at TDTU after a long time working online. She said that the assessment team would interview with representatives of the stakeholders to get a clear picture of the training programs. From there, the expert team would evaluate training programs according to FIBAA's accreditation criteria and made recommendations to promote the quality development of the University.

After 2 working days, the University has received positive feedback from the FIBAA Accreditation Panel. Reputable scientists, professors and accrediting experts highly appreciated the mapping and position of training programs in the education, the labor market and in the overall strategic orientation in training of the University; student quality and graduate employability; student support services and academic enrichment activities for the lecturers. The University is also very active in cooperating with businesses and educational institutions. In addition, the experts were very impressed with the campus, practice rooms, modern facilities, especially the Inspire Library, which far exceeded the expectations of the evaluation team. In addition, they also shared experiences and pointed out some notes to help the University improve its training programs better in the coming time such as enhancing student exchange and international cooperation, building a program focusing on integrating theory with practice, improving English proficiency for students, contributing to the development of TDTU in the direction of a world elite research university.

FIBAA is an organization that accredits educational programs in management, economics, law and social sciences according to European standards (from undergraduate to doctoral level). FIBAA's mission is to accredit, evaluate and develop educational curricula around the world, ensuring transparency, quality and internationalization in higher education. In November 2022, TDTU completed the accreditation process and was granted the quality seal by FIBAA for 4 undergraduate programs including Labor Relations, Urban and Regional Planning, Sociology, and Vietnamese Studies - major in Tourism and Tourism Management.
