“1st Student Dialogue” Program – Semester 2, Academic Year 2024–2025

On March 11, 2025, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University successfully organized the “1st Student Dialogue” for Semester 2 of the academic year 2024–2025.

The event was attended by esteemed faculty members including: Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong – Dean; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang – Vice Dean; Dr. Nguyen Minh Huan – Dean’s Assistant; Dr. Le Thi Mai – Head of the Sociology Department; Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen – Head of the Political Theory Department; MSc. Nguyen Hieu Tin – Deputy Head of the Tourism Department, in charge of Tourism Department; and Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Dao – Deputy Head of the Tourism Department. The dialogue also welcomed lecturers, faculty staff, and nearly 250 students who are class monitors, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch Secretaries, members of Vietnamese Students’ Association of the classes, and team leaders representing all students currently studying at the Faculty.

Prior to the faculty-level dialogue, students had participated in department-level sessions chaired by department leaders, where they raised and received responses to questions related to academic matters and career orientation.

At the beginning of the faculty-level session, Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong emphasized the significance and objectives of the dialogue: to provide a platform for the Faculty Board to understand students' thoughts and aspirations, and to gather feedback aimed at improving the quality of education and student services. She also reminded students to plan their study paths carefully, meeting prerequisite course requirements as well as informatics and English standards in order to graduate on time.

Following this, Ms. Tran Phuong Nhung – Faculty Academic Officer – delivered important updates and reminders regarding academic matters. Mr. Bui Le Tuan Anh – Student Affairs Assistant – also addressed several issues related to student affairs, scholarships, school policies, and regulations.

Throughout the event, the Faculty received questions from students concerning issues such as graduation replacement courses, professional modules, student training activities, and more. All queries were addressed clearly and satisfactorily by the Faculty Board and attending lecturers.

The “Student Dialogue” concluded successfully, reflecting the Faculty’s commitment to listening to students and fostering a supportive, quality-driven educational environment.
