2026 Alumni Gathering of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities: “Reconnect – Connecting to Move Forward Together”

On the morning of September 20, 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) held its 2026 Alumni Gathering at Hall 6M, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), under the theme “Reconnect – Connecting to Move Forward Together”. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, alumni from different graduating classes returned to campus to meet their former lecturers, reconnect with friends, and share experiences from their studies and careers.

Representing the University, the event welcomed MA. Dang Thi Kim Anh, Head of the Department of Student Affairs.

Representing the Faculty were Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong, Dean; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Vice Dean; heads of academic departments; lecturers and staff; and more than 150 alumni.

The gathering featured a range of activities and discussions:

  • A review of alumni activities during the 2025–2026 academic year and the presentation of the activity plan for 2026–2027.
  • The introduction of the Faculty’s Alumni Liaison Committee for the 2026–2027 academic year and the FSSH Alumni Digital Handbook.
  • Alumni contributions and suggestions for developing the Faculty’s alumni activities.
  • An awards ceremony for the “Things Left Unsaid” podcast competition, which gave participants a way to share stories of their student years and their affection for the University.
  • Reflections from alumni representatives on their experiences, pride, and continuing connection with the Faculty.
  • Remarks by MA. Dang Thi Kim Anh, who shared recent University updates and introduced University-wide alumni activities.
  • An introduction to the master’s and doctoral programs in Sociology and TDTU’s postgraduate scholarship policies, highlighting further opportunities for alumni to study and develop professionally.

The gathering offered alumni an opportunity to return, reconnect, and share their experiences. It also strengthened the connection among the University, the Faculty, and its alumni, contributing to a closer and more active FSSH alumni community.
