The 2nd dialogue with students for the 2nd semester in academic year 2023 – 2024
On May 7, 2024, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Ton Duc Thang University organized the 2 nd dialogue with students for the 2nd semester in academic year 2023 – 2024
The dialogue session was attended by esteemed faculty members: Ms. Pham Thi Ha Thuong, Acting Dean; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Deputy Dean; Dr. Nguyen Minh Huan, Dean’s Assistant; Dr. Le Thi Mai, Head of the Sociology Department; Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, Head of the Political Theory Department; Mr. Nguyen Hieu Tin, Deputy Head of Department, in charge of Tourism; Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Dao, Deputy Head of the Tourism Department; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh, in charge of the Social Work Department; Ms. Dong Thi Huong, in charge of the Vietnamese Studies Department; along with other lecturers and staff from the Faculty and more than 150 students, including Class monitors, Youth Union Secretaries, Class Representatives, and Group Leaders representing nearly 2,500 students currently studying at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Additionally, the program was honored to have the presence of Mr. Tran Le Anh Huy, Secretary of the School's Youth Union and Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Department.
Before the faculty-level dialogue session, students attended department-level dialogue sessions chaired by department heads or deputies to address and resolve concerns related to academic issues and career orientation.
The faculty-level dialogue session began with Ms. Pham Thi Ha Thuong discussing the significance and purpose of the student dialogue activity, aiming to allow the Faculty Leadership to understand the thoughts and aspirations of students while also gathering feedback to improve the quality of education and services for learners.
Following this, Ms. Tran Phuong Nhung from the FSSH’s educational staff provided and reminded students of several academic-related issues, and Mr. Bui Le Tuan Anh, Assistant for Student Affairs, addressed matters related to student affairs, policies, scholarships, and the university's rules and regulations.
Throughout the dialogue session, the Faculty received students' questions about graduation replacement courses and career modules. The Faculty Leadership and lecturers addressed all student inquiries satisfactorily and clearly.
"Student Dialogue of the FSSH" took place successfully.
