"2nd Student Dialogue" program for the 2022 and earlier intakes in Semester 1, academic year 2023 - 2024

On November 21, 2023, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) organized the "2nd Student Dialogue" program for the 2022 and earlier admission courses in the 1 st Semester, academic year 2023-2024.

Attending the dialogue were Ms. Pham Thi Ha Thuong, Acting Dean; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Deputy Dean; Dr. Le Thi Mai, Head of Sociology Department; Mr. Nguyen Hieu Tin, Deputy Head of Department, in charge of Tourism; Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Dao, Deputy Head of Tourism; Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, Head of Political Theory Department; and Lecturers, Faculty officials, and more than 100 students who are Class Presidents, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch Secretaries, Members of Vietnamese Students’ Association of the Classes, and Team Leaders representing nearly 2400 students studying at the Faculty.

Before coming to the faculty dialogue, students attended departmental dialogues led by the department to listen and answer questions related to professional issues as well as career orientation.

At the beginning of the dialogue at the faculty level, Ms. Pham Thi Ha Thuong shared that the meaning and purpose of dialogue activities with students is for the faculty to listen to students' thoughts and aspirations and, at the same time, collect ideas to improve the quality of training and service for learners.

Following the program, students were implemented by Ms. Tran Phuong Nhung, FSSH’s educatinal staff, and reminded of some contents related to academic work, followed by Mr. Bui Le Tuan Anh, FSSH’s Assistant for Student Affairs, who reminded students of some contents related to student work, policies, scholarships, and the rules and regulations of the TDTU.

During the dialogue, the faculty received questions from students on issues such as scholarship policies, career modules, subject registration, time to submit English certificates,... The opinions of students are fully and clearly answered by the Dean of the Faculty, lecturers, and officials. At the same time, through this dialogue, the Dean of the Faculty pays special attention to the English learning pathway and progress of students, especially for students of the 2020 entrance class (preparing for the final semester for the Graduation Module) who must have appropriate learning methods and achieve English certificates as prescribed to be able to participate in the Graduation Module in the 2 nd semester of Academics 2023-2024.
