The “2nd Student Dialogue” for Semester 1 of the 2025–2026 academic year, dedicated to students of the 2025 intake (Cohort 29)
On November 18, 2025, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) at Ton Duc Thang University organized the “2nd Student Dialogue” for Semester 1 of the 2025–2026 academic year, dedicated to students of the 2025 intake (Cohort 29).
In attendance were representatives from several university units, including MA. Bui Huu Toan, Assistant to the Deputy Head of the Testing and Quality Assessment Department; MA. Le Cong An, Officer of the Student Affairs Department; Ms. Nguyen Thuy Kim Tuyen, Officer of the Undergraduate Studies Department; and Mr. Nguyen Hong Ngoc, Officer of the Inspection, Legislation & Security Department.
From the FSSH, the event welcomed the participation of Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong - Dean; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang - Deputy Dean; Dr. Nguyen Minh Huan - Dean’s Assistant; Dr. Le Thi Mai, Head of the Sociology Department; MSc. Nguyen Hieu Tin, Deputy Head of the Tourism Department and in charge of the Tourism Department; Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Dao, Deputy Head of the Tourism Department, Dr. Pham Thai Son, Deputy Head of the Tourism Department at the Khanh Hoa Branch, MSc. Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh, in charge of the Social Work Department; and MSc. Dong Thi Huong, in charge of the Vietnamese Studies Department, together with faculty members, administrative staff, and students of Cohort 29.
At the beginning of the program, Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong emphasized the significance of the dialogue, noting that it provided an opportunity for the University and the Faculty Board to listen to students’ concerns and expectations while receiving constructive feedback to enhance academic quality and strengthen student support services.
Following this, MA. Le Cong An provided key information on preventing online fraud and highlighted the importance of developing polite and culturally appropriate behavior within the academic environment, as well as presenting details related to the University's three-component moral education program and the distinctive qualities of TDTU students. Ms. Nguyen Thuy Kim Tuyen then briefed students on essential academic matters, including course registration, course withdrawal or cancellation, academic planning, tuition fees, and other related procedures.
Prior to the Faculty-level session, students had participated in division-level dialogue meetings chaired by division leaders to address questions about the curriculum, academic activities, and career orientation. During the Faculty program, Ms. Tran Phuong Nhung, Academic Affairs Officer of the Faculty, provided important information and reminders regarding academic procedures. This was followed by Mr. Bui Le Tuan Anh, Student Affairs Assistant, who presented updates on student benefits, policies, scholarships, and relevant university regulations.
The dialogue session took place in an open and constructive atmosphere and concluded successfully, contributing to strengthened connections between the University, the Faculty, and students while supporting the shared goal of enhancing training quality and providing comprehensive support for learners.
