The 6th talented tour guide contest

The final ranking ceremony of the contest "Talented tour guide 6th-2020" by the Department of Tourism, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Ton Duc Thang University has just taken place to attract many students of industry attended. The contest went through many qualifiers with hundreds of contestants participating, resulting in 6 contestants entering the final round.
In the ranking final, each contestant competes in 3 rounds of competition: Elocutionary competitions, talented guides and bravery of tour guides (situations handles). In each round, the candidates demonstrate the skills and abilities required of a professional tour guide. In particular, this contest has the participation of advisory board members, training candidates from successful alumni as well as champions - who have won high awards from previous years. This can be seen as a highlight of the program, showing the connection of graduates, supporting knowledge, career skills, passion to the candidates in Tourism major.
By their bravery, confidence and intellect, the contestants shared quite interesting explanatory topics, brought many useful information, exploited topics on history, culture and monuments such as: Mothers, Nam Phuong Queen, the Love Story of Princess Ngoc Anh (Nguyen Dynasty), "Trái Bần" in Southern culture ... The competition was even more dramatic with the contest of situations handle which were theatrical. MSc. Nguyen Hieu Tin (Head of Tourism Department, member of the jury) shared: “The competition has really brought an intellectual and useful playground to help students grasp the basic knowledge and understand more deeply on the profession of guidance, promoting the qualities and talents of students. The more special thing of this contest is from the events, ... all by students of the Travel Club. I am really proud of students who have shown the skills, creativity, bravery of the tour guide as well as how to organize a tourism event".
As a result, the first prize went to Huynh Nhat Hao, Le Ngoc Tu won the second prize and the third prize went to Dang Ngoc Thai. In addition, the Organizing Committee also presented three consolation prizes to students Mach Ba Khang, Nguyen Thi Yen Linh and Le Minh Thang.
