The Department of Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University participates in assessing the training program according to AUN-QA standards
From December 3 to 5, 2024, the Social Work Department of theFaculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) participated in evaluating the quality of training programs according to AUN -QA standards (ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance). This is the 419th assessment of AUN-QA, taking place onsite at TDTU.
The assessment aims to evaluate, measure and improve training quality, ensuring the program meets Southeast Asian standards. The AUN-QA assessment council consists of leading education experts from ASEAN countries. The council conducted interviews with stakeholders, including Faculty and Department leaders; lecturers; students; alumni; employers, and thoroughly reviewed the Department's academic materials, facilities and training activities.
Preliminary results highlighted several strengths in the Social Work training program, especially in terms of content; training methods; connection with practice through a network of Social Work experts and organizations; social organization; and effectiveness in supporting the development of professional competency for students. Participating in the AUN-QA assessment not only demonstrates TDTU's efforts in improving the quality of education but also opens up opportunities to integrate the training program into regional and international education system.
