Department of Sociology Participates in Southern Sociology Day 2024 at Can Tho University

On December 15, 2024, the Department of Sociology at Ton Duc Thang University participated in Southern Sociology Day 2024, hosted by Can Tho University.

The event brought together numerous organizations, including the Vietnam Sociological Association, Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Thu Dau Mot University, Van Hien University, Can Tho University, Binh Duong University, Trade Union University, the Sociology Center - Southern Institute of Social Sciences, the Institute of Sociology - Sociology Journal, the Population and Development Research Center, and many others.

With the participation of various experts in the field, the event offered diverse perspectives and practical solutions for building a sustainable and thriving community, with a particular focus on social issues in the Mekong Delta region.

Sociology, as an empirical science, addresses key issues affecting individuals, communities, and society at large. Its research methods and theoretical frameworks provide valuable insights into the social processes that shape human life, social challenges, and future prospects in today’s world.
