Faculty of Health science, Curtin University, Western Australia visists the Faculty of Social sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University
On the morning of June 4 th , 2024, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities welcomed the Delegation from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Curtin University, Western Australia to work and discuss the Social Work program
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities including Pham Thi Ha Thuong, MSc. - Acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, PhD. - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Nguyen Minh Huan, PhD- Assistant to the Dean and Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh, MSc. - In charge of Social Work department.
From the Faculty of Health Sciences, Curtin University, there were Ms. Paula Helen Jones - Social Work Program Coordinator and Social Work students studying at Curtin University.
At the meeting, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities introduced an overview of Ton Duc Thang University, the development context of the Social Work profession and the Social Work program at Ton Duc Thang University. In addition, the Faculty of Health Sciences also shared about Curtin University, an overview of the geographical features and environmental culture in Perth and Western Australia, and the Social Work program at Curtin University. The two sides continued to discuss the similarities and differences between the two training programs to enhance understanding and sharing to create conditions for cooperation between the two sides in the future.
In addition, representatives of Social Work Department accompanied the Delegation visiting and exploring Children Social Work models at Thao Dan Social Service Center – one of Ton Duc Thang University’s cooperative partners providing field placement for Social Work students.
The meeting was a success and ended with openness and an invitation for deeper cooperation in the future on sharing experiences in Social Work training and practice as well as necessary consultation skills for Social Work students.
