Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities meets and welcomes new students of Course 28

On September 10, 2024, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) - Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized a meeting and welcoming program for new students of Course 28 at Hall 2A, creating a joyful atmosphere ahead of the new academic year.

At the start of the program, the new students were warmly welcomed by the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and the Faculty’s Student Association through special performances and exchanges. These performances were conducted by the Youth Union, the Student Association, and the art troupe of FSSH. During this exchange, representatives from the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and the Faculty’s Student Association introduced themselves, extended greetings, and provided some orientation about activities for the new students.

Following the enthusiastic welcome from the Faculty’s Student Union, the Organizing Committee introduced the new students to the Heads of Departments, the Person-in-charge of Department, Lecturers, and staff, as well as provided contact information for when students need support. On behalf of the Faculty Board, Ms. Pham Thi Ha Thuong, Acting Dean of the Faculty, delivered a congratulatory speech, encouraging the newly admitted students to strive in their studies, improve themselves, and graduate on schedule. Six scholarships (1 million VND/scholarship) were awarded to six students with high entrance scores in the Faculty's training programs/majors.

To help students better understand the training programs and familiarize themselves with the university environment, the Heads of Departments and the Person-in-charge of Department shared with the new students the key features and study orientations of each program/major.

New students were also introduced to their advisor in class for Course 28. Afterward, they participated in a tour of TDTU organized by the Travel Club, allowing them to explore the unique features of the university.

Finally, the students engaged in activities with their advisor in class. During this session, they elected class monitor, leader of each group, and the Provisional Executive Committee of the Youth Union and Student Association to support their academic, training, and group activities at the Faculty and University.
