Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Organizes a Series of Seminars to Support Students’ Scientific Research in the 2025–2026 Academic Year

To enhance students’ scientific research capacity, especially for those conducting research projects and graduation theses in the 2025–2026 academic year, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a series of academic seminars with the participation of experienced lecturers. This activity not only provided students with methodological knowledge but also helped guide them toward a systematic research approach aligned with current academic requirements.

The series began with the seminar “How to Present Qualitative Data in Scientific Research Reports” , delivered by Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Vice Dean of the Faculty . The seminar took place online via Google Meet at 8:00 p.m. on April 10, 2026 . The content focused on the process of coding, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative data in a logical and rigorous manner, while emphasizing how to develop arguments based on empirical data. The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and raising many questions related to interview data processing and ways to strengthen the persuasiveness of qualitative research findings.

The next seminar, “How to Present Quantitative Data in Scientific Research Reports” , was delivered by Dr. Nguyen Minh Huan, Assistant to the Dean , at 6:00 p.m. on April 16, 2026, in Room B402 . During the session, students received detailed guidance on presenting tables and figures, interpreting statistical analysis results, and establishing clear connections between data and research hypotheses. The discussion recorded active student participation, with many in-depth questions concerning how to read results from software such as SPSS and AMOS, as well as how to interpret the practical significance of statistical indicators.

Concluding the series was the seminar “How to Check Similarity and AI Use in Scientific Research Reports” , presented by Dr. Pham Thai Son, Deputy Head of the Tourism Department at the Khanh Hoa Branch . The seminar took place at 6:00 p.m. on April 24, 2026, in Room B211. It provided specific guidance on plagiarism checking and the identification of AI-assisted content, while emphasizing the importance of academic integrity in the context of rapid technological development. Participating students actively exchanged ideas and raised various practical scenarios related to the use of checking tools and the appropriate application of AI in research.

Overall, the seminar series not only delivered practical academic value but also created an open forum for students engaged in scientific research. Through this activity, the Faculty contributed to enhancing the quality of student research projects across the Faculty.
