Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Organizes “Sharing Moonlight, Sending Love” Program in Lam Dong Province
On September 26 and 27, 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), organized visits to revolutionary heritage sites and a series of student volunteer activities in Lam Dong Province. The program helped foster a spirit of volunteerism and community responsibility among the Faculty’s Youth Union members and students, while bringing a warm Mid-Autumn Festival to local children.
Upon arriving in Ham Thang Ward, the delegation joined the “Volunteer Saturday” activity, working alongside local Youth Union members and young people to clean the grounds of the Thang Thuan Residential Quarter Cultural Center. The delegation then took part in “Tracing History – Paying Tribute to the Fallen Soldiers of Ham Thuan Company 1/430”, offering incense at the company’s memorial monument. This activity helped educate young people about historical traditions and cultivate gratitude.

As part of the program, the H2H Club of the Social Work program held a session on “Enhancing Skills to Support Children’s Mental Health” at Ham Thang 2 Primary School, providing opportunities for interaction and sharing while equipping pupils with additional essential knowledge and skills.

A particular highlight was the “Mid-Autumn Festival for Children” program, which created a joyful and warm atmosphere through dance, song, drama, and a theatrical performance featuring “Uncle Cuoi – Sister Hang – the Jade Rabbit”. On this occasion, the delegation also presented 300 Mid-Autumn gift packages to children in Thang Thuan Village, helping them enjoy a fulfilling and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival.

On the morning of September 27, 2026, the delegation visited the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the Duc Thanh School historical site, offering flowers and incense and learning about the place where President Ho Chi Minh once taught under the name Nguyễn Tất Thành. The delegation also participated in the exchange program “Vietnamese Youth Following in Uncle Ho’s Footsteps”, revisiting key historical milestones and his revolutionary journey.

The “Sharing Moonlight, Sending Love” program in Lam Dong Province concluded with many meaningful experiences. Through volunteer activities, tributes to history, and support for children, the program helped promote social responsibility, nurture positive values, and provide opportunities for FSSH students to develop and mature through practical experience.
