Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University Organizes Faculty and Staff Meeting for Semester 1 of the 2026–2027 Academic Year

To ensure thorough preparation for the new academic year, on August 4, 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), organized a meeting for faculty and staff members involved in teaching during Semester 1 of the 2026–2027 academic year. The event not only provided an opportunity to strengthen connections among faculty and staff but also served as an important forum for discussing strategic directions and aligning educational objectives.

The meeting was attended by members of the Faculty Management Board, including Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Nguyen Minh Huan, Assistant to the Dean, together with the heads and representatives of the academic departments: Dr. Le Thi Mai, Head of the Sociology Department; MSc. Nguyen Hieu Tin, Deputy Head and in charge of the Tourism Department; Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, Head of the Political Theory Department; MSc. Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh, Deputy Head and in charge of the Social Work Department; and MSc. Dong Thi Huong, in charge of the Vietnamese Studies Department. More than 50 faculty and staff members also attended the meeting.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong, on behalf of the Faculty Management Board, expressed her sincere appreciation to the faculty and staff for their continued support and valuable contributions during Semester 3 of the 2025–2026 academic year. Regarding teaching activities for Semester 1 of the 2026–2027 academic year, Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong outlined several key priorities, including the management and application of artificial intelligence in teaching at Ton Duc Thang University, a thorough review of the criteria for courses prepared for online delivery, and assessment standards for centrally administered examinations. In addition, University regulations and important academic milestones for the semester were communicated in detail to all faculty members.

Following the general discussion session, faculty and staff members joined their respective academic divisions for professional meetings. These sessions played an important role in strengthening collaboration, enabling faculty members to align their teaching methods and ensuring effective coordination in teaching activities.

In an atmosphere of solidarity, responsibility, and proactive engagement, the meeting concluded successfully, marking the beginning of a new semester with strong expectations and a shared commitment to further enhancing the quality of teaching and education at the FSSH.
