The Final Round of the 11th “Future Sociologist” Competition Successfully Concludes with the Theme “Decoding Society in the AI Era”

On May 9, 2026, the Final Round of the 11th “Future Sociologist” Competition was successfully held, marking the conclusion of a vibrant academic journey filled with memorable highlights. With the theme “Decoding Society in the AI Era,” this year’s competition created a timely academic forum where students demonstrated critical thinking, analytical abilities, and sociological approaches to contemporary social issues in the context of rapid digital transformation.

The program was honored by the presence of distinguished lecturers serving as the Judging Panel, including Dr. Le Thi Mai – Head of the Sociology Department; M.A. Ly Tan Dat – Editor at VOV Traffic Channel, Voice of Vietnam; Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh – Lecturer of the Sociology Department; Dr. Trieu Thi Phuong – Lecturer of the Sociology Department; and M.A. Nguyen Phuong Thao – Lecturer and Advisor of the Sociology Club, together with nearly 30 students from the Sociology Department.

Through multiple rounds featuring specialized challenges and highly persuasive live debate sessions, the competing teams demonstrated serious preparation, creativity, and an active spirit of learning. The final results were as follows:

  • Champion: The team of students Vo Thi Thuy Duong, Nguyen Pham Angelina Mi Mi, and Nguyen Gia Khoi;
  • First Runner-up: The team of students Do Hoang Anh, Dang Phan Thanh Tra, and Do Thi Ngoc Trinh;
  • Consolation Prize: The team of students Hoang Tan Tai and Nguyen Minh Thu;
  • “Most Popular Idea” Award: The team of students Hoang Tan Tai and Nguyen Minh Thu.

The competition was not only an academic playground for students passionate about Sociology but also an opportunity for them to strengthen their research, analytical, and presentation skills in addressing contemporary social issues. Through the competition, students were encouraged to cultivate scientific thinking, social responsibility, and the ability to adapt to the changes of modern society. Concluding with many meaningful moments and memorable impressions, the “Future Sociologist” Competition promises to return with new themes, fresh perspectives, and more inspiring academic journeys in the future.
