The First Student Dialogue Session, Semester 2, Academic Year 2025–2026
On March 24, 2026, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Ton Duc Thang University, organized the First Student Dialogue Session for Semester 2 of the 2025–2026 academic year.
The program was attended by representatives from various university units, including MA. Bui Huu Toan, Assistant to the Head of the Testing and Quality Assessment Department; MA. Nguyen Thi Nhung, Assistant to the Head of the Student Affairs Department; Ms. Nguyen Thuy Kim Tuyen, Officer of the Undergraduate Studies Department; and Mr. Le Ho Phat Dat, Officer of the Inspection, Legislation & Security Department.
From the FSSH, the dialogue was attended by Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong, Dean; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Deputy Dean; Dr. Nguyen Minh Huan, Assistant to the Dean; Dr. Le Thi Mai, Head of the Sociology Department; MSc. Nguyen Hieu Tin, Deputy Head and in charge of the Tourism Department; Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Dao, Deputy Head of the Tourism Department; Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, Head of the Political Theory Department; MSc. Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh, Deputy Head and in charge of the Social Work Department; along with faculty members, staff, and nearly 250 students serving as class representatives and members of Youth Union and Student Association executive committees.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong emphasized the significance of the dialogue, highlighting it as an opportunity for the University and Faculty leadership to listen to students’ concerns and aspirations, while also receiving feedback to enhance the quality of education and student support services.
Following this, MA. Nguyen Thi Nhung shared important guidelines for students’ academic engagement and personal development, emphasizing the importance of respectful and culturally appropriate behavior within the academic environment, as well as key aspects of TDTU’s moral education program and student identity framework. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen provided essential information on academic affairs, including course registration, course withdrawal/cancellation, academic planning, and tuition fees.
Prior to the faculty-level dialogue, students participated in departmental dialogue sessions chaired by department leaders to address questions related to academic programs, scholarly activities, and career orientation.
During the program, Ms. Tran Phuong Nhung, Faculty Academic Affairs Officer, presented key notes regarding academic administration. Subsequently, Mr. Bui Le Tuan Anh, Assistant for Student Affairs, introduced important information concerning student policies, scholarships, and university regulations.
The dialogue was conducted in an open and constructive atmosphere and concluded successfully, contributing to stronger connections between the University, the Faculty, and students, and advancing the shared goal of enhancing educational quality and comprehensive student support.
