On November 8, 2025, at Hall 10F of Ton Duc Thang University, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) formally organized the Networking Event and Enterprise Cooperation Signing Ceremony, alongside the Business Connection Forum for the academic year 2025–2026. The event welcomed former faculty leaders from various periods—including Dr. Tran Trong Duc, former Dean; Dr. Tran Thi Tan Huong, former Vice Dean; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Bui Loan Thuy, former Dean—together with more than 250 participants comprising lecturers, institutional partners, corporate representatives, affiliated agencies, faculty members, alumni, and current students of FSSH.

Held in a warm and collegial atmosphere, the program celebrated the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20/11/1982–20/11/2025), an occasion for FSSH to express deep gratitude to generations of educators who have contributed to the Faculty’s and the University’s development. In her opening remarks, Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong, Dean of FSSH, emphasized the importance of strengthening links among the university, enterprises, and alumni in enhancing academic quality, fostering scientific research, and supporting students in their career development journey. Following this, Dr. Tran Thi Tan Huong, former Vice Dean, shared heartfelt reflections on the teaching profession and reaffirmed her pride in the Faculty’s long-standing tradition of unity, creativity, and continuous innovation throughout its development and integration process.

Representing the business sector, Ms. Truong Hong Uyen, Deputy Director of the Domestic Tourism Division of Saigontourist Travel Service Company Limited, expressed her strong impression of FSSH students’ professionalism, eagerness to learn, and practical competencies. She affirmed the company’s commitment to continuing its collaboration with the Faculty through internship programs, recruitment activities, and professional knowledge sharing—thereby providing students with more opportunities to advance their careers and excel in real-world work environments.

The first part of the program featured a Ceremony of Appreciation, honoring individuals and groups who made significant contributions to the Faculty’s development during the academic year 2024–2025. FSSH extended its sincere gratitude to former leaders, affiliated lecturers, contributors to internationalization activities, long-serving educators, partners, enterprises, supporting agencies, and alumni who have accompanied the Faculty in its growth.

This was followed by the signing ceremony with eight enterprises and institutions operating in fields aligned with the Faculty’s academic majors such as Tourism, Sociology, and Social Work. Through these agreements, FSSH reaffirmed its reputation for practice-oriented training, and expanded opportunities for cooperation, internships, employment, and scientific research for students. All parties committed to strengthening coordinated efforts to develop a high-quality workforce that meets the demands of today’s labor market.

Additionally, to support students facing financial hardship, academic challenges, or recent impacts of storms and flooding, corporate partners and affiliated organizations awarded eight scholarships, each valued at 3,000,000 VND.

The second session continued with the 2025–2026 Business Connection Forum, themed “Digital Workforce in the Integration Era: Trends, Skills, and Opportunities for Collaboration”. The session welcomed Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoan Minh, Chairwoman of Tiim Group Company Limited; Mr. Pham Dinh Nghinh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Child Welfare Association; and Ms. Vu Nhu Phuong Chi, CEO of Saigon Realty Joint Stock Company. The forum focused on analyzing the profound transformation of the labor market under the influence of digital technologies and globalization, which are reshaping work practices, career models, and workforce requirements. Discussions highlighted essential skills for modern workers—such as digital literacy, creative thinking, technological adaptability, remote teamwork, and intercultural communication. The theme also offered insights into opportunities for cooperation among universities, businesses, and international organizations in training, internships, and entrepreneurship, helping young people better prepare for their career pathways, develop personal branding, and seize opportunities within the digital economy.

The program concluded in a warm, engaging, and heartfelt atmosphere.
The event was not only an occasion for appreciation and networking but also the starting point for meaningful, innovative, and sustainable collaborations—further reinforcing the prestige and position of the FSSH, Ton Duc Thang University, within Vietnam’s higher education landscape and beyond.
