FSSH Students Win Third Prize at the 2025 Euréka Scientific Research Awards
On the morning of December 7, 2025, the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the 27th Euréka Scientific Research Awards took place solemnly at Tran Chi Dao Hall, with the participation of distinguished delegates, scientists, lecturers, and a large number of students from universities nationwide.
This year marks the largest scale of the Euréka Awards to date, featuring 2,179 research projects and attracting more than 7,500 contestants from 161 universities, colleges, and academies across the country. After highly competitive Preliminary and Semi-final Rounds, only 192 outstanding projects across 15 fields were selected for the Final Round to present before the Scientific Council.
In the Culture and Arts category, 128 projects from 44 institutions with 335 participating students competed for top honors. In the Final Round, the student research team from the Tourism major, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), achieved an impressive Third Prize with their project titled “Determinants of travellers’ willingness to pay more for green travel products: A moderating effect of green perceived value”. The team consisted of students Le Chanh Tin (team leader), Le Thi Yen, and Pham Thi Anh Thu, under the supervision of Dr. Nguyen Minh Huan. The study examined key determinants influencing tourists’ willingness to pay higher prices for green travel products, while assessing the moderating role of green perceived value in shaping sustainable attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors.
The research outcomes have been transferred to Golden Adventure International Travel Service Co., Ltd. and are being considered as a valuable reference in developing sustainable tourism products and designing green communication strategies. This demonstrates the project’s strong practical relevance and applicability, underscoring the meaningful connection between academic research and the real-world needs of the tourism industry.
This achievement highlights the independent research mindset, creativity, and ability to engage with contemporary sustainability trends among FSSH students. It also serves as motivation for the Faculty to continue fostering student-led scientific research, contributing to knowledge advancement and addressing practical social challenges. The accomplishment further reinforces TDTU’s commitment to developing into an internationally oriented research university, where academic scholarship is closely integrated with societal development.
