FSSH's First-year students welcoming (Academic year 2023-2024)

On September 15, 2023, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) - Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) organized a program to meet and welcome new students (Course of 27, 2023-2027) taking place at Hall 2A in a joyful atmosphere to welcome the new academic year.

At the beginning of the program, the new students were welcomed by the Executive Committee of the FSSH’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (FSSH-HCYU) and FSSH’s Vietnamese Student Association (FSSH-VSA) with special performances and game exchanges conducted by the staff of the Union and Association and FSSH’s musical team.

In this exchange, representatives of the Executive Committee of the FSSH-HCYU and FSSH-VSA introduced and sent greetings as well as orientation of some activities for new students.

After an enthusiastic reception, the program's organizing committee introduced the new students to the lecturer, dean, head/deputy of department, lecturers and department officers, as well as informations if they need support. Mrs. Pham Thi Ha Thuong - Acting dean congratulated and sent words of encouragement and encouragement to the new students admitted to the FSSH to begin and finish their study on schedule.

At the meeting, 05 corresponding scholarships were awarded to five students who achieved the highest score in the entrance exams of FSSH (1 scholarship for each major).

To help students to get used to the field of practice and the university environment, the head/deputy of the department shared the characteristics of FSSH and its training program with new students.

At the same time, the New Student was introduced to the lecturers, who is working at the FSSH and FSSH's academic advisors. After that, new students can join TDTU-tour, a special discovery tour at the school organized by FSSH's travel club.

The last part of the program is the part where the students had a separate meeting with the academic advisers. In this meeting, the new students elected a class teacher, group leader, branch acting executive committee who could support them to study, get well-educated and do other activities in the FSSH and TDTU./.
