Green Summer Campaign 2025: Youth of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in Action for the Community
In the summer of 2025, the youth of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), once again launched their campaign under the spirit of “Dedication – Volunteering – Discipline – Creativity – Devotion”. With a clear theme, practical objectives, and flexible implementation, this year’s campaign was not only a journey of learning and service but also an opportunity to spread profound humanistic values to the community. From July 7 to August 3, 2025, more than 50 FSSH volunteers were deployed across two main areas: Binh Phu Commune (Vinh Long Province) and Tan Thuan Ward (Ho Chi Minh City).

In these locations, students actively engaged in a wide range of meaningful and practical activities, including mural painting, assisting with record digitalization, raising awareness about online fraud prevention, promoting sustainable living through the 4T model, and supporting families under preferential policies as well as disadvantaged households in the community. The campaign focused on 10 specific objectives, with notable achievements such as renovating walls under the theme “Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful”, organizing summer activities for children, and presenting 70 gifts to students and residents in difficult circumstances in Binh Phu Commune. Beyond on-site activities, the campaign also maximized the impact of digital communication. Media initiatives such as “4T Green – Planting Sustainability” and “Understand to Avoid Being Deceived,” together with feature stories highlighting exemplary students and good deeds, were regularly updated on the official FSSH – TDTU fanpage, generating positive effects and strong engagement within the TDTU student community.

This year’s campaign also left a lasting impression on the young volunteers through activities of gratitude, the “Historical Footprints” journey, and the “Lighting Candles of Gratitude” program at the Memorial Stele in Binh Phu Commune. These activities honored the nation’s invaluable tradition of remembering those who came before, fostering a stronger sense of responsibility, dedication, and pioneering spirit among today’s young generation. Particularly significant were the “Sharing Love” and “Sowing Seeds of Happiness” initiatives, through which the Campaign Steering Committee received essential contributions from partner organizations, lecturers, staff, and students of both FSSH and TDTU. These donations were promptly delivered to households and children in difficult circumstances in Binh Phu Commune. With the spirit of “Dedication – Volunteering – Discipline – Creativity – Devotion”, the 2025 Green Summer Campaign of the FSSH was not only an opportunity for students to train and mature but also a vivid testament to the vitality, compassion, enthusiasm, and relentless aspiration to contribute of TDTU students
