International Student Exchange with Outreach Vietnam

On March 26, 2025, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) and the Faculty of Law, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), in collaboration with the Faculty of Political Theory and Social Sciences and Humanities, People's Police University (PPU), successfully hosted a cultural exchange program with international students from Outreach Vietnam. The event was held in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere at TDTU.

The program welcomed the participation of Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong – Dean of FSSH (TDTU); Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Nguyen Hai Lam – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Political Theory and Social Sciences and Humanities (PPU); and 39 students from both universities. Also in attendance were Mr. Vo Thang Thuong – Coordinator of Outreach Vietnam – and 27 international student volunteers from various countries, who contributed to a lively multicultural exchange environment that fostered mutual understanding and connection between Vietnamese and international students.

The event featured two main activities:

🔹 Thematic Session on “Vietnamese Culinary Culture”: Held in meeting room A101 and delivered by MSc. Pham Ngoc Thach – Lecturer of FSSH, the session provided participants with an insightful overview of Vietnamese culinary traditions across different regions, emphasizing the cultural values embedded in traditional meals and the role of cuisine in shaping national identity.

🔹 Cultural and Practical Exchange Activities: Taking place at Lobby F, this segment included musical performances and a hands-on workshop on making Vietnamese coffee – a representative aspect of Vietnamese culinary culture. These engaging activities enhanced cultural interaction among students and offered valuable experiential learning opportunities.

The program not only enabled students to exchange cultural knowledge and experiences but also helped strengthen their intercultural communication skills, broaden global perspectives, and better prepare for future international integration. Additionally, the event opened up opportunities for continued collaboration among the participating institutions, with a shared goal of developing regular and systematic academic and student exchange initiatives.

The success of the program further affirms TDTU’s commitment to building an international, humanistic educational environment, fostering the development of dynamic, globally-minded, and socially responsible students.
