Master of Sociology have met FIBAA international accreditation standards

FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) has just officially announced the decision to recognize the training quality of 7 study programmes of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), which have met FIBAA international accreditation standards. Therefore, the number of the University’s study programmes meeting FIBAA standards, as of November 2023, increased to 11 programmes. As a result, the total number of TDTU’s programmes recognized by international accreditation organizations are 26 programmes.

7 study programmes recognized include Master of Sociology, Master of Finance and Banking, Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Marketing, Bachelor of International Business, Bachelor of Business Administration - major in Hospitality, and Bachelor of Business Administration - major in Human Resource Management. The recognition is valid from September 20, 2023 to September 19, 2028 (5 years).

Previously, in 2021, 4 undergraduate programmes of TDTU were successfully evaluated according to FIBAA standards, including Labor Relations, Urban and Regional Planning, Sociology, and Vietnamese Studies - major in Tourism and Tourism Management.

Thus, as of January 2023, TDTU had 11 study programmes accredited and recognized to meet FIBAA international (European) standards. At the same time, regarding study programmes that have just been recognized to meet FIBAA international standards, TDTU has a total of 26 study programmes accredited and recognized to meet international standards by international accreditation organizations.

FIBAA is a prestigious Swiss quality assurance organization, headquartered in Bonn, Federal Republic of Germany and Zurich, Switzerland, and is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).

FIBAA operates with a commitment to promoting quality and transparency in education through accreditation of higher education institutions and training programmes based on comparison with the European educational quality standards. FIBAA’s programme accreditation standards are employed to assess the fields of management, economics, law, and social sciences. FIBAA accreditation standards comply with the requirements of the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).

Notably, FIBAA accreditation is based on alignment with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). As a result, programmes accredited by FIBAA are widely recognized in Europe and globally. Thus, graduates of the programme accredited by FIBAA will have favorable conditions to secure employment and pursue further studies in European countries and around the world.
