Meeting and Welcoming Students at the Beginning of the Academic Year 2024-2025

On August 24, 2024, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) - Ton Duc Thang University organized a meeting and welcoming program for students on the occasion of the beginning of the Academic Year 2024-2025 at Hall 2A.

The program began with an introduction of the Faculty Board, along with the lecturers and staff who will be working during the 2024-2025 academic year. Ms. Pham Thi Ha Thuong, Acting Dean of FSSH, gave a speech welcoming students back to university after the summer break, summarizing the outstanding achievements of lecturers and students in the 2023-2024 academic year, and sharing key information for the 2024-2025 academic year.

On this occasion, the Faculty Board awarded certificates to 07 students who achieved high achievements in competitions both inside and outside the university as well as to 62 students who actively participated in activities contributing to the development of the Faculty in the 2023-2024 academic year.

To help students better understand the training program, the Head of Department and the Person-in-charge of Department shared essential information that students need to prepare for the new academic year, emphasizing the importance of learning English to ensure academic progress and on time graduation. Subsequently, the Staff of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs introduced the new information to students, as well as reminded them of the university's regulations and rules that students need to pay attention to and comply with.

During the meeting, the Faculty Board responded to and highly appreciated the suggestions from students to improve the quality of service provided by the Faculty and the University in the 2024-2025 academic year. The Faculty Board also expressed the desire to continue receiving comments to enhance the Faculty’s activities and support students in a timely manner. During the direct exchange, students asked questions about issues such as the deadline for submitting English certificates for professional internship assessment, registration for professional internship and graduation replacement subjects, and registration for small classes. These questions were satisfactorily answered by the Faculty Board and Heads of Departments.

The program ended with an exchange with the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and the Student Association of FSSH, featuring special performances that were enthusiastically praised by students. On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union - Student Association also reported the achievements in the 2023-2024 academic year and the activities planned for the 2024-2025 academic year.

The program was a great success.
