Meeting with Students at the Beginning of the 2026–2027 Academic Year” Program and Seminar on “Academic Ethics in the AI Era: Boundaries and Responsibilities

On the afternoon of August 5, 2026, at Hall 2A, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Ton Duc Thang University, organized the “Meeting with Students at the Beginning of the 2026–2027 Academic Year” program and the seminar entitled “Academic Ethics in the AI Era: Boundaries and Responsibilities” for students from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 cohorts.

The program began with an introduction of the Faculty Management Board, lecturers from the academic divisions, new staff members, and invited guests. Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong, Dean of the FSSH, welcomed students back to the University after the summer break, highlighted the notable achievements of faculty members and students during the 2025–2026 academic year, and outlined key priorities for the new academic year.

A key highlight of the program was the seminar entitled “Academic Ethics in the AI Era: Boundaries and Responsibilities,” featuring a presentation by M.A. Tran Duc Su, Deputy Director of the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer (CITT), TDTU. The seminar provided students with knowledge and enhanced their awareness of academic ethics in the context of the increasingly widespread use of artificial intelligence (AI) in learning and research. It also equipped students with the essential knowledge and skills to use AI effectively, responsibly, and in accordance with academic standards.

Following the seminar, the Faculty Management Board engaged in a direct dialogue with students, listening to, acknowledging, and responding to their feedback regarding teaching activities and academic support for students.

The program concluded in a warm atmosphere, leaving a positive impression and inspiring students to enter the new academic year with enthusiasm and a commitment to a dynamic, safe, and effective learning experience.
