Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University Students Explore the Mekong Delta Region
After an exploratory trip to Ho Chi Minh City, on May 18, 2024, students from Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University (NPRU) had an exciting tour of the Mekong Delta region in Vietnam. This visit was part of a short-term study program designed to help students experience and gain deeper insights into the culture and lifestyle of the people living in the Mekong Delta.
The NPRU students learned about the process of making coconut candy, traditional handicrafts, and listened to "đờn ca tài tử" - an intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO. They also enjoyed local delicacies such as honey tea, candied fruits, and fresh fruits, and explored the waterways of the Mekong Delta in traditional three-plank boats. Additionally, the students participated in fun water activities like ziplining, rowing, and catching fish in the canals.
The tour of the Mekong Delta not only provided new and unique experiences but also strengthened the friendly relationship between the students of the two universities. Hopefully, the beautiful memories and valuable lessons from this trip will motivate NPRU students to continue exploring, learning, and developing in the future.
