Organized a workshop with the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany
At 15:00 on May 20, 2021, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University held a webinar with the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. The theme of the workshop was “Friendship of refugee children in Germany”. The program has attracted the participation of 25 lecturers and more than 150 students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany.
The conference program includes two main topics: Part one, Prof. Alexandra Konig and Dr. Jessica Schwittek shared the topic “Friendship of refugee children in Germany”. After that, 6 topics were divided into 06 subgroups including students of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University and students of Duisburg-Essen University exchanging around the following topics: Free time, Growing up and Self determination.
The program has created opportunities for lecturers and students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University to better understand the problems of refugee children in Germany. At the same time, through the program, faculty and students of the Faculty also have the opportunity to approach the international environment, building a positive learning environment. Students have many opportunities to exchange and improve their understanding, thereby orienting themselves to equip them with the necessary knowledge skills to serve their studies and future work. Besides, the program also opens up many cooperation directions between the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University and the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany in the future.
