Orientation Session for the Short-term Study Program with Students from Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University, Thailand
On the morning of May 27, 2025, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), in collaboration with the Faculty of Sports Science, Ton Duc Thang University, hosted an orientation session for students from Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University (NPRU), Thailand. This event was held as part of the short-term study program themed “English for Communication and Culture”.
Representing the FSSH were Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong – Dean; Dr. Nguyen Minh Huan – Assistant Dean; Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Dao – Vice Head of the Department of Tourism; and Dr. Pham Thai Son – Vice Head of the Department of Tourism at the Khanh Hoa Branch. From the Faculty of Sports Science, Dr. Nguyen Hong Tin – Assistant Dean – was also in attendance.
From NPRU, the delegation included Asst. Prof. Dr. Piyawan Pinkaew – Dean; Asst. Prof. Dr. Pranee Seenak – Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research; Asst. Prof. Kanokorn Savangsri – Assistant Dean; Asst. Prof. Dr. Nareema Sangwiman – Assistant Dean; and Mr. Tanasit Chomchit – Assistant Dean.
The orientation aimed to help international students become familiar with the learning environment and campus life at TDTU, while also laying the foundation for academic activities and cultural exchange throughout the program.
The short-term study program includes sessions on basic Vietnamese language for Thai students, communicative English classes, cultural immersion experiences, and field trips to various cultural and tourist destinations around Ho Chi Minh City.
A total of 24 students from NPRU are participating in the program. This activity marks the continuation of a strong partnership between the two institutions, further promoting student exchanges and strengthening international academic cooperation in the years to come.
