Seminar “Improving the effectiveness and quality of teaching and learning political theory subjects”

On the afternoon of January 9, 2024, the Department of Political Theory organized a seminar on “Improving the effectiveness and quality of Teaching and Learning Political Theory subjects”. The discussion brought practical values in innovating teaching methods for subjects in the Political Theory Department - Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities from the second semester of the 2023 - 2024 academic year.

Attending the discussion, from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, there was Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang – Deputy Dean; Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen - Head of the Political Theory Department (chaired the discussion) with a group of full-time lecturers and visiting lecturers in the Political Theory Department.

In the discussion, ideas mentioned innovating teaching methods and student assessment. Lecture goals must always combine theory with practice, continuously updated to suit each type of learner.

The discussion session was lively; the participating lecturers presented the current situation of teaching and class management, as well as advantages and limitations, and proposed solutions to improve the quality of teaching and learning of political theory subjects for students in the future.

In conclusion, Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen emphasized the role of political and ideological education in the current context. Facing the digital transformation trend in higher education, the teaching and learning of political theory subjects need to be quickly and comprehensively innovated regarding content, methods, and ways of managing learners.
