On May 23, 2023, at the Library of Ton Duc Thang University, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) held a seminar on Making the most out of your data – Incorporating inferential statistics in your research and Teaching Vietnamese in North America.

Attending the seminar, guests were Dr. Andrea Hoa Pham, associate professor of Vietnamese Language and Linguistics at Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures – University of Florida (USA); and Dr. Andrew Nguyen from Department of Psychology and Family Science – Mississippi University for Women (USA).

At the seminar, lecturers and students of the FSSH exchanged a lot of valuable questions with guest speakers and received their constructive feedbacks on two topics: (1) how one can use inferential statistics to generalize results from a small sample; and (2) the Vietnamese Program in North America: teachers, students, textbooks, program, language requirement.
