Seminar "Studies on Gender and Family in the Current Trend" with Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Thi, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Family and Gender Studies
On October 24, 2023, at Meeting Room B at Ton Duc Thang University, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) organized a seminar on the scientific topic "Studies on Gender and Family in the Current Trend".
The guest of the seminar was Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Thi, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Family and Gender Studies. Dr. Thi is currently an Associate Professor of Sociology, a senior researcher, and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Family and Gender Studies. Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Thi has published 04 journal articles on the ISI/Scopus list (including 03 ISI articles and 01 Scopus article); 01 journal article on the list of ISI accepted for publication; participated in writing 06 international book chapters and 13 books/monograph chapters; 02 works and research results applied in practice; chaired more than 14 science and technology topics, projects, and tasks in the last 5 years; and have extensive experience in science and technology management and evaluation through participating in advisory councils, reviews, acceptance, and evaluation of science and technology programs, topics, and projects at the national level or equivalent.
At the seminar, lecturers from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Thi exchanged information and research results related to gender and family in the current trend, as well as discussed changes in the concept of family ownership and parents' desire to educate their children.
After the seminar, the FSSH’s lecturer and Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Thi discussed the contents of cooperation in the near future, such as inviting Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Thi participates as a member of the Editorial Board and keynote speaker of the International Conference ISSH 2024 and, at the same time, through the academic and research network of Assoc. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Thi introduced experts, professors, and associate professors participating in research and training cooperation at the FSSH.
