Sociology Program’s Industry Network: Bridging Education and Practice
The Sociology Department, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, continues to strengthen its strategy of integrating academic training with real-world practice by expanding and consolidating its network of partnerships with agencies and organizations in the fields of social management and mass communication. This is a key direction aimed at enhancing training quality and professional competencies for Sociology students.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, the Faculty formalized partnerships with two organizations: The Center for Socio-Economic Simulation and Forecasting of Ho Chi Minh City (under the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies) and the Southern Representative Office of Van Hoa Newspaper. These partners possess strong expertise in social data analysis and media operations, providing students with opportunities to access professional working environments while still at university.

In addition to formal agreements, the Sociology Department has actively maintained and further developed sustainable relationships with various agencies and organizations in organizing field trips and practical training activities for students. The partner network continues to expand with the participation of institutions such as the Ho Chi Minh City Arts Center, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Bee Communication Company Limited, Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center, General Sciences Library of Ho Chi Minh City, VOV Traffic Channel, and many other organizations in the fields of social management and communication.
These activities serve as preparation for the upcoming Professional Practice and Internship courses. Through such collaborations, students not only gain exposure to real working environments but also have opportunities to apply their academic knowledge to address specific social issues. At the same time, participating in field trips and internships at partner organizations enables students to develop professional skills, expand their networks, and enhance their adaptability to the labor market.
In the coming period, the Sociology Department, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, will continue to expand cooperation with reputable partners, aiming to further align training with practical needs and meet the increasingly diverse demands of society.
