Successful Acceptance of the Project managed by the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City

After 18 months (from October 2020 to April 2022) of urgent and serious work, the research team of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University led by Dr. Le Thi Mai as the Principal Investigator has completed the tasks according to Decision No. 933/QD-SKHCN dated September 8, 2020 of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, titled "Improving the effectiveness of dialogue and collective bargaining at private enterprises and foreign directly invested enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City".

The Acceptance Committee was held at 9:00 on May 5, 2022 at Meeting Room 4, Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of Dr. Le Van Ut, Head of Science and Technology Development Department, Ton Duc Thang University - Representative agency of conducting the task. The Acceptance Committee includes:

1. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thien - Van Hien University - Chairman of the Committee.

2. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thuan – Ho Chi Minh City Open University – Reviewer.

3. Dr. Pham Phi Yen – Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics and Technology – Reviewer.

4. MSc. Nguyen Sinh Cong – Institute of Human Resource Management Science – Member.

5. MSc. Tran Ngoc Son - Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs - Member.

6. Mr. Nguyen Phi Ho - Ho Chi Minh City Labor Confederation - Member.

7. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hang – Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City - Administrative Secretary

The Acceptance Committee highly appreciated the research results and the efforts of the research team during the implementation of the task. With the topic, the research task has high practical significance; Trusted datasets; The research results can be compiled into teaching materials and serve as a scientific evidence for Labor Confederations at all levels to comment on the draft Law on implementation of democracy at grassroots level. In particular, Vietnam is currently implementing the contents of ILO Convention No. 98 on the right to organize and carry out collective bargaining, which took effect in Vietnam from July 5, 2020.
