Successfully Organized Tourism Practicum Programs in Semester 2, Academic Year 2024–2025

From June 9 to 21, 2025, the Department of Tourism under the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities successfully organized domestic tourism practicum programs for students enrolled in practicum-based courses in Semester 2, Academic Year 2024–2025.

The programs aimed to help students apply theoretical knowledge into practice, develop skills in tour design, guiding, tour operation, and problem-solving in real-world settings, while also observing and evaluating service quality and understanding tourism management activities at various destinations. The programs were thoroughly prepared with essential knowledge and skills, ensuring the criteria of safety–efficiency–cost-effectiveness.

Specifically, the course "Tourism Management Practicum" (course code 303122) was conducted on the Phan Thiet–Da Lat route over 4 days and 3 nights (June 9–12, 2025) with the participation of 107 students; the course "Tourism Practicum 1" (course code 303120) was conducted on the Mekong Delta route over 4 days and 3 nights (June 9–12, 2025) with 100 students; the course "Tourism Practicum 2" (course code 303121) was conducted on the North–South Vietnam route over 10 days and 9 nights (June 9–18, 2025) with 93 students; the course "Vietnam Tourism" (course code 305009) included the following programs: Central Vietnam Heritage tour from June 15–20, 2025 with 110 students from the standard program; Northern Vietnam Heritage tour from June 16–21, 2025 with 90 students from the high-quality and English-taught programs. Throughout the journeys, students engaged in practical tourism activities, explored how travel companies operate, and took on roles as professional tour guides to improve their vocational skills and prepare for future careers in the tourism industry.
