Successfully Organizing the 11th Talented Tour Guide Competition 2026

On May 10, 2026, the 11th Talented Tour Guide Competition 2026, organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Ton Duc Thang University, was successfully held. The competition is an annual academic activity for students passionate about tourism, aiming to provide an environment for students to develop professional skills, foster creativity, enhance problem-solving abilities, and build stage confidence in the role of a professional tour guide.

The Final Round of the competition was honored by the presence of Dr. Pham Thi Ha Thuong – Dean of the FSSH; Dr. Nguyen Minh Huan – Assistant to the Dean; MSc. Nguyen Hieu Tin – Deputy Head and in charge of the Tourism Department; Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Dao – Deputy Head of the Tourism Department; Dr. Pham Thai Son – Deputy Head of the Tourism Department at Khanh Hoa Campus; together with lecturers and staff members of the FSSH.

Accompanying the competition was the Final Round Judging Panel, comprising MSc. Nguyen Hieu Tin – Deputy Head and in charge of the Tourism Department; MC Do Phuong Thao – CEO of Better Up Vietnam Company Limited; Mr. Tran Thanh Tu – Chief Executive Officer of Vtourist Travel Joint Stock Company; Mr. Luong Van Sang – Executive Director of Asiana Link Company Limited; and Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Thao – Sales Director of Vietluxtour Travel Joint Stock Company. With their professional expertise, practical experience, and diverse industry perspectives, the judges provided valuable feedback and insightful recommendations to contestants throughout the competition journey.

The program was also pleased to welcome representatives from partnering enterprises, including Vtourist Travel Joint Stock Company, Better Up Vietnam Company Limited, Asiana Link Company Limited, Vietluxtour Travel Joint Stock Company, Tiim Group Company Limited, Golden Adventure International Travel Services Company Limited, and representatives from TL Media. In addition, the event welcomed alumni, champions of previous seasons of the Talented Tour Guide Competition, and a large number of students who attended to support and encourage the contestants.

A notable highlight of this year’s competition was the introduction of two separate categories for the first time: the Vietnamese category and the English category. This innovation not only created opportunities for contestants to showcase their language strengths but also enhanced the professionalism of the competition, expanded practical training opportunities, and aligned more closely with the real-world demands of the tourism industry in the context of international integration. The performances in both categories demonstrated diversity, confidence, communication skills, and creative thinking among students.

Throughout the preliminary, qualifying, semi-final, and final rounds, contestants successfully overcame a wide range of challenges, including presentation videos, talent performances, situational problem-solving, public speaking, and on-stage tour guiding presentations. Each segment reflected the students’ serious preparation, creativity, and passion for the tourism industry.

Concluding a memorable and challenging journey, the 11th Talented Tour Guide Competition 2026 recognized the most outstanding contestants:

• Champion: Student Thai Quang Huy;
• First Runner-up: Student Vo Thi Ngoc Yen;
• Second Runner-up: Student Ngo Manh Huy;
• Three Consolation Prizes were awarded to students Chau Anh Hao, Mai Khanh Huyen, and Le Nguyen Quynh Nhu.

The 11th Talented Tour Guide Competition was not only a meaningful academic playground but also an opportunity for students to learn, connect, gain practical experience, and comprehensively develop professional skills. The success of the competition further affirmed the role of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in creating a dynamic, practice-oriented learning environment that closely connects students with their future professional careers.
