TDTU Social Work Student Team Shines at Competitions Celebrating Vietnam Social Work Day 2025
On March 24, 2025, during the Vietnam Social Work Day celebration program organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy, the Social Work student team from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) achieved outstanding success in two major competitions.
At the 2025 "Social Work in Me" Contest, TDTU’s Social Work students surpassed many teams from universities and academies in Ho Chi Minh City to win third prize in the final round. The contest provided a meaningful platform for students to enhance their knowledge, skills and passion for the profession. With thorough preparation, creativity and strong team spirit, the TDTU team made a remarkable impression through the competitions.
In addition, TDTU students continued their winning streak in the "My Profession, My Story" photo contest—another highlight of the Vietnam Social Work Day celebration. Their entry won the "Most Popular Photo" award. The photos offered an authentic perspective on the social work profession, while also conveying powerful messages about compassion, professionalism, and dedication to serving the community.
Representatives from the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Department of Social Work attended the Vietnam Social Work Day celebration on March 25, co-hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy and social work training institutions in the city. Their presence at the event reflected TDTU’s strong ties with professional training organizations, emphasizing the shared mission of Connecting – Developing the Profession – Enhancing the Quality of Social Work Education.
These achievements not only highlight the competence and commitment of TDTU’s Social Work students but also contribute to promoting the values of humanity, empathy, and social responsibility inherent in the profession. The experience will continue to inspire students to practice, refine their skills, and actively contribute to community development.
