From December 15th to December 20th, 2024, over 100 students from the High-Quality and English-Taught Bachelor’s programs in Tourism and Tourism Management, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), participated in a study exchange trip to Thailand.
As part of the program, the students attended specialized courses at Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University (NPRU) on Tourism Management Practices (High-Quality Program) and Tourism Management Practices 1 (English-Taught Program). The first two days of the trip were devoted to practical tourism experiences in Pattaya City, including field visits to the 5-star Dusit Thani Pattaya Hotel, a distinguished member of the Dusit Thani International Hotel Group. On the third day, students explored various tourism activities in Bangkok, the vibrant capital of Thailand.
The remaining days were focused on theoretical lessons at NPRU, delivered by experienced Thai lecturers. These sessions also featured a mid-term presentation competition, providing students an opportunity to showcase their learning and creativity. At the end of the program, students received certificates of course completion from NPRU in recognition of their efforts and accomplishments.
In addition to the academic curriculum, TDTU lecturers offered guidance on international customs procedures, strategies for addressing challenges in guiding tourists abroad, and insights into professional tourism practices.
By the conclusion of the program, participants had gained valuable practical experience in tourism development and management within an international context. The exchange trip not only enriched their academic knowledge but also inspired and motivated them to pursue further growth in their studies and careers within the dynamic field of tourism.
