Workshop: “The Path to Qualitative Research: From Theory to Practice”

On November 27, 2021, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities collaborated with the Faculty of Environment & Labour Safety to organize an online workshop with the theme "Path to Qualitative Research: From Theory to Practice” on the Zoom application platform. The workshop received a lot of attention and participation from the lecturers and 137 students of the two faculties.

The guest of the workshop program is Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien, currently teaching at Monash University, Australia (ranked 57th World University Rankings 2022, # 91-100th World Reputation Rankings 2021 according to THE, ranked #58 QS World University Rankings); Research Fellow at Western Sydney University, Australia.

At the program, Dr. Nguyen Trung Kien had interesting and close sharings with students about the overall picture of qualitative research methods with the following contents: What is a qualitative research method, subjectivity management and approaches to qualitative research. With the speaker's transparent sharing method, he always goes from practical situations to theory in qualitative research. The enthusiastic and open exchange of speakers created conditions for students of the two faculties to understand more about scientific research methods in general and qualitative research methods in particular.
