World Vision Vietnam to visit and discuss with Social Work Department, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University
On the morning of February 25, 2025, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) welcomed a delegation from World Vision Vietnam to visit and discuss opportunities for collaborative training programs, jobs opportunities for Social Work students.
Representing the FSSH were Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Vice Dean; MSW. Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh, Social Work lecturer; and MSW. Pham Ngoc Thach, Social Work lecturer. Leading the delegation from World Vision Vietnam were Mr. Le Thien Thach, Program Coordinator, and Mrs. Ong Phuoc Thien Dung, People and Culture Executive.
During the meeting, FSSH provided a comprehensive overview of Ton Duc Thang University, the development sphere of FSSH, Social Work Department and major features of the Social Work Undergraduate program at Ton Duc Thang University. Meanwhile, World Vision Vietnam introduced its mission, operation areas and key initiatives currently being implemented in Vietnam, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City.
Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on potential avenues for collaboration, including career development opportunities, volunteer engagement, field placements, internship programs, and joint academic conferences specializing in Community Development.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both institutions expressing strong interest in formalizing a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) . This prospective collaboration aims to enhance academic excellence, professional training, and community impact in the field of Social Work.
