Tourism and tourism management (Standard program)
1. Program introduction
The Vietnamese Study - Tourism and tourism management Program has new and modern subjects which are suitable to the development of society and meet the needs of international integration; it provides in-depth knowledge in managing tourism, plan and implement tourism service. Through the program, students will possess strong knowledge, proficiency in skills, confident in the business environment as well as in the multicultural environment.
2. Outcome
• Understanding and able to analyse the knowledge in research, organization, management, operation, tourism business.
• Analyze, evaluate and apply the specialized knowledge of management science in tourism business, especially in the field of tourism business and tourism technology.
• Be able to develop tourism products, organize management in tourism activities.
• Understand, analyze, and evaluate the issues, values and trends of tourism in the new era and the global economic landscape.
• Be able to flexibly apply soft skills to work such as teamwork, travel communication, etc.
• Foreign language levels: IELTS ≥ 5.0 (or other equivalent international certificates)
• IT skills: International MOS Certificate ≥ 750
3. Career opportunities:
• Working in tourism service companies such as resorts and tourist attractions.
• Able to create small scale start-up travel business.
• Consultant in business strategy, development, construct and supply of tourism products.
• Becoming specialists of the Ministry and the Department of Culture - Sports - Tourism such as tourism professional training center, Institute of tourism development and research, tourism planning.
• Participate in training activites in tourism.

Vietnamese studies: Tourism and tourism management (High-quality program)
1. Program introduction
The program include new subjects ( first time in universities system in Vietnam), has an in-depth knowledge and high level of application in practice.
Specially, the course allow students to learn in practice in both domestic and international travel companies both domestic and international. Moreover, at least 50% of subjects are taught in English, lead by highly experienced lecturers. The students take initiatives in learning with the support of modern teaching methods such as group discussion, individual working and participate in exchange programs with the leading tourism experts.
This program provides general knowledge of culture, socio-economic, tourism management, planning and tourism service organization as well as specialist knowledge of administrative and management skills, problem solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations in tourism business.
2. Outcome:
• Knowledge, understanding, analyse the knowledge in research, organization, management, operation, tourism business.
• Analyze, evaluate and apply the specialized knowledge of management science in tourism business, especially in the field of tourism business and tourism technology.
• Have the ability to exploit tourism products, organize management in tourism activities.
• Understand, analyze, and evaluate the issues, values and trends of tourism in the new era and
the global economic landscape.
• Be able to flexibly apply soft skills to work such as teamwork, travel communication, etc.
• Foreign language: IELTS ≥ 5.5; TOEFL iBT 50 (or other equivalent international certificates)
• VTOS certificate issued by Vietnam Tourism VTCB Board.
• IT skills: International MOS Certificate ≥ 750
3. Career opportunities
• Sales, marketing, manager at travel agency companies: resorts, tourist destinations, tourist attractions ... Especially, you can work well in the international tourism group; Travel agencies provide services to international visitors in the country and in Southeast Asia.
• Create a new tourism business or manage specialized groups in the travel business.
• Consultant on business strategies, exploitation, construction and supply of tourism products and promotion of tourism services to abroad.
• Specialists in departments, centers under the Ministry and the Department of Culture - Sports - Tourism such as Tourism professional training Center, Institute of Research and development of tourism, Tourism planning, Travel promotion center,...
• Participate in the management of some parts of the tourism business, tourism destinations and entertainment in Vietnam and in the world, especially in the ASEAN region.
• Participate in training courses in tourism.
4. . Special charateristics of high-quality program
• Teaching program: 50% of the program are taught in English, increasing in career needful soft skills; amount of time spend in foreign countries are doubled compare to standard program. Hence, knowledge and practical skills meet VTOS standard are also required.
• The faculty members: the teaching staff with a wide range of experience in teaching and in practice, fluent in English and has scientific research activitives in international context.
• Teaching method: the facilities are fully enhanced with the modern equipments for the purpose of teaching and learning such as group discussion, case study, pratice.
• Study materials: Curricula reached the international standards; 100% of materials, textbooks and Power Point files were written in English
• Numbers of student: Each class only study from 20 to 40% of theory. Classroom for practice carries around 15 to 20 students.
Moreover, student have to take an exam for VTOS certificate. The internship abroad program is designed from semester 5 to semester 8. Tuition fee: 25-30 millions VND (not including flight ticket and living cost)

In addition, some vocational certificate modules have been integrated into the curriculum, students learn and take exams to obtain a valuable VTOS qualification in finding a job later. Foreign semesters are held for students of high quality programs, scheduled to take place in the second year. Expected cost: 25-30 million (excluding airfare and living expenses). Army semesters are designed specifically for students who have studied Defense Education, have experienced life in the military environment to help train their life skills, confidence, gratitude and effort.
