4. Programme Objectives – (POs):

PO1: Students perform professional ethics, have a sense of service to the community, have health and have a spirit of love for the job.
PO2: Learners will become social workers with professional knowledge and skills to practice social work, be able to detect, solve problems in social relations and improve human capacity.
PO3: Learners have scientific thinking and conduct scientific research.
PO4: Learners are able to participate in studies of applying scientific knowledge to social work activities in Vietnam.
PO5: The learners are able to participate in designing and implementing social programs and projects in localities, contributing to social stability and sustainable development, solving social problems, repelling social evils and implement social justice in the southern provinces and the whole country.

General knowledge

General knowledge of political theory, natural science and society, knowledge of foreign languages and information technology

ELO1: Understanding and implementing laws and policies of the Communist Party of Vietnam in specific tasks.

ELO2: Present common knowledge in the fields of economy, culture, history, ethnology, environment.

ELO3: Explain and apply management, operating, legal and environmental protection knowledge related to social work.

ELO4: Good at using of foreign languages and informatics reaches a minimum level B1 (international), from IELTS 5.0 or above (or other equivalent certificates).

ELO5: Ability to use office computing (MOS 750 Certification).

Professional knowledge

Understanding and knowing about basic knowledge of Social work;

ELO6: Presenting and applying depth theoretical knowledge on social work (ideological and opinion of social work, research methods in social work, ...)

ELO7: Presenting and explaining knowledge and skills of practicing social work.

ELO8: Ability to detect, participate in solving social problems and improving human capacity.

ELO9: Understanding and practicing according to the code of ethics in social work.

 Practical skills: involving manual dexterity and the use of methods, materials, tools and instrument

Job skill

ELO10: Practicing skills such as approach and process in social work with individuals, groups, community development.

ELO11: Write the proposal of a social project and explains how to manage the Social work project.

ELO12: Designing tools to collect information in social work research by quantitative method (Questionnaires / Opinion table) and qualitative information (Develop interview questions and observations).

Cognitive skills: involving the use of logical, intuitive and creative thinking

Support skills

ELO13: Handling situations when going to practice and internship in the field.

ELO14: Organizing work and managing time effectively

ELO15: Develop a presentation (Powerpoint) and actively feedback in group discussions in class.
