Abstract: Border studies usually construe the border as their object. To speak of border as method is to shift the angle of analysis, taking the perspective of the border as a means to confront a variety of problems, including the politics of migration, shifts in relations among capital and states, mutations of sovereignty and governance, the  changing international division of labor, and questions of political subjectivity and citizenship.
