1. Major: Vietnamese Studies –Major in Vietnamese Language, Culture and Society

3. Mode of study: Regular

4. Degree: Bachelor

5. Program objectives – POs:

PO1: students will become Vietnamese Studies graduates with sound knowledge and professional skills to satisfy the requirements of the field.

PO2: students will acquire scientific research methods; have critical thinking ability and an independent mind; have the ability to learn and self-study to higher levels in the field of Vietnamese Studies.

PO3: students will be able to apply their knowledge of Vietnamese Studies to practical activities such as tour guiding, tourist management, interpreting, translation, the teaching of Vietnamese language, and management and consultation to foreign enterprises investing and operating in Vietnam.

PO4: students will be able to work independently or in a team, under pressure, and have the ability to adapt to and integrate with the working environment in Vietnam.

PO5: students will be trained to become graduates in Vietnamese Studies with  thorough knowledge, good attitudes and good health.

General knowledge

General knowledge of politics, social science and humanities, foreign languages and IT ability.

ELO1: understand the policies of the Vietnam government.

ELO2: understand and apply knowledge of social science and humanities.

ELO3: be capable of using foreign language and computer skills, equivalent to IELTS 5.0 or TOEIC 500, and the international MOS certificate.

Professional knowledge

Basic understanding of Vietnamese Studies

ELO4: understand and apply knowledge of Vietnamese Studies to solve specific issues in the workplace.

ELO5: understand and apply key knowledge of Vietnamese language (phonetics, vocabulary, grammar).

Professional skills

(Practical skills: involving manual dexterity and the use of appropriate methods, materials, tools and instruments)

ELO6: analyze and evaluate socio-cultural characteristics of Vietnam.

ELO7: be capable of using Vietnamese language fluently in various communication situations (formal and  informal).

ELO8: compare and contrast Vietnamese language and native languages.

ELO9: consult with, deploy and manage projects for foreign enterprises operating and investing in Vietnam.
